What a Fexr agent can do with your account
A Fexr agent trades on Hyperliquid for you with a trading key your wallet approves. The key can place and cancel orders. It cannot withdraw. Every new order passes ten checks on our servers before it is sent, and you can switch the agent off in one tap.

How the agent gets access to your account
Three things are involved: how you sign in to Fexr, the trading key on Hyperliquid, and a regular check that the key is still approved.
- You sign in through Fexr AuthFexr Auth is our sign-in service. Your session is tied to a key that stays on your device, and every request the app sends carries a fresh signature from that key. Each signature expires within a minute and works once. Someone who copies your session token can't use it from another machine.
- Your wallet approves a Fexr trading key on HyperliquidThis is Hyperliquid's own agent-key feature. The key can open, close and cancel orders on your account. Hyperliquid does not let an agent key withdraw or transfer funds, so the key we hold can't either.
- We keep checking that the key is still approvedBefore trading, we ask Hyperliquid whether the key is still on your account, at most five minutes apart. If you have removed it, every strategy and autonomous session pauses and the app tells you. If Hyperliquid doesn't answer, we wait and ask again instead of treating it as removed.
The trading key can
- Open orders
- Close positions
- Cancel orders
The trading key can't
- Withdraw funds
- Transfer funds
- Change its own limits
The ten checks on every new order
These run on our servers, in the code that sends orders to Hyperliquid. They apply the same way to a strategy, an autonomous session and an order you place yourself. The limits are fixed in that code: no plan, setting or support request raises them.
| Check | The rule | What it prevents |
|---|---|---|
| Asset list | Only assets on Fexr's list. Memecoins and new listings are blocked. | Trading a lookalike ticker or a thin market |
| Sanctions screen | Your wallet is screened against the US sanctions (OFAC) list. If the screen doesn't answer, new orders wait. | Trading from a sanctioned wallet |
| Platform brake | If orders across all of Fexr jump to 5× the normal rate within a minute, new orders stop for 5 minutes. | A bug or a bad signal firing orders for everyone at once |
| Leverage cap | Up to 12× on crypto, 5× on commodities, 3× on stocks. | Positions with no room to move |
| Daily spending cap | The cap you set when you created the agent. | Spending more in a day than you agreed to |
| Position size | One asset can't be more than 30% of your account, counting what you already hold. | Several small buys adding up to one big bet |
| Price age | The price behind the order must be under 30 seconds old. No price means no order. | Acting on a market that has already moved |
| Liquidation distance | The liquidation price must be at least 10% away from the current price. | A small move closing the position for you |
| Funding rate | Perpetuals with extreme funding are blocked. The threshold is lower for stocks and commodities. | Holding costs quietly eating the trade |
| Market hours | New stock positions only while the New York Stock Exchange is open. | Entering at wide after-hours spreads |
Closing orders skip all ten. A check that blocked a close could keep you in a position you are trying to leave.
When an order is stopped
Nothing is sent. The next cycle tries again with fresh data.
After three in a row, the strategy pauses itself and the app tells you.
Every order gets an ID before it is sent. If we retry, Hyperliquid sees the same ID and won't place the order twice.
An autonomous session needs a target and a loss limit
An autonomous session manages a set of positions toward a return you choose. It won't start until you set both a target and a loss limit. It ends when it reaches either one, or when you stop it.
Returns are counted after trading fees, funding and the estimated cost of closing, so the session doesn't stop at a target it would miss once it sells. Autonomous sessions are in early access, and every order they place goes through the same ten checks.
What happens when you turn the agent off
One tap in the app runs these steps in order. The app then shows how many orders were cancelled, how many positions were closed and how much USDC is left.
- 1Any autonomous session endsIt goes first, so it can close its positions while the key still works.
- 2Open orders are cancelledEvery resting order on your account is pulled from Hyperliquid.
- 3Open positions are closedYour perpetual positions are closed at market.
- 4We mark the key revokedFrom here our servers send no more orders with it, even if step 2 or 3 hit an error on Hyperliquid.
- 5You remove the key on HyperliquidThe app asks for one signature from your wallet. Until you sign, the key still exists on Hyperliquid, but we no longer use it.
Running several agents as a team
On the Desk plan, a desk, fund or technical team can run many agents from one workspace. Each one is set up so a problem with one doesn't spread to the rest.
What an agent can't do
Past performance of an agent, a strategy or a signal does not predict future results. Nothing here is investment advice.
Common questions
Can a Fexr agent withdraw my money?
No. The agent trades with a Hyperliquid agent key, and Hyperliquid doesn't allow agent keys to withdraw or transfer. Your funds stay in your own Hyperliquid account.
What if someone steals my login?
Your session only works together with a key stored on your device, and each request needs a fresh signature from it. A copied token on its own is refused. If you think your account is at risk, turn the agent off: that cancels orders, closes positions and stops us using the trading key.
Can I raise the leverage or position limits?
No. They are fixed in the code that sends orders, for every plan. You can set a lower daily spending cap, not a higher leverage cap.
What if Hyperliquid is down when I turn the agent off?
We still mark the key revoked, so we send nothing more with it. Any cancels or closes that failed show in the summary, and you can remove the key on Hyperliquid once it is back.
Does the agent ask me before every trade?
No. It trades within the limits and caps you set, and every order passes the ten checks. Every order is recorded with the result of its checks.
Start with a small daily cap
You set the daily spending cap when you create the agent. Start small, watch what it does for a week, then decide whether to raise it.
